This project consists of the exhibition identity that I created for artist Brian Singer at the Thatcher Gallery. His work explores pertinent themes like censorship, surveillance capitalism, isolation, and an overarching critque of the “american dream”. His work heavily reflects on his mixied racial identity, and how that has shaped his life and worldview.
My own designs reflect these themes with choices like bold colors and the use of both English and Japanese within the posters. The sticker pack that I designed was created with the intention of being a “takeaway” from the gallery showing. The symbols were redesigned from his installation, “You are not alone”, which was created for the Salesforce Transit Center in San Francisco.
